Robyn Rihanna known as Rihanna in Barbados is an Barbadian musician and singer who has provided us with hit songs like Pon de Replay Umbrella SOS and Take a Bow. A very successful artist still at the peak of her youth she has already sold more than 41 million albums and 150 million songs around the world, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. Barbados born, she first listened to reggae as she grew and then began singing for herself as a teenager. In the wake of being disturbed by chaotic nature of her home life, as well as her frequent fights with her father, she became immersed in the world of music. Soon after, she realized she was destined to make it as a professional. They formed a group when she was still in high school and had the opportunity to take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. He requested for the teenager to relocate into New York and pursue a singing career full-time. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna's debut album soon became a hit and she was hailed as the next big thing in music. Rihanna was loved by youngsters for her uplifting, foot-tapping music. It led to her becoming a director. Nowadays, she's a teenage idol and model. Rihanna is also involved with charities and makes use of her fame.
