Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who started her career through innovative raps which addressed sexuality and racial identities with the most comical of perspectives. Her career then grew to Hollywood. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her very first musical encounter. She was a trumpet player. Jazz, classical and hip-hop studies began when she was just a teenager. At college, she was studying the field of women's studies and journalism. She even spent some time learning Mandarin during her time in Beijing. After graduation, her focus shift to music. In 2012 her track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success across the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. The album also featured popular hits, including the body positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. With musician and author as her credentials, she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. In addition to early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. She had a breakthrough role in 2018 with a few high profile films, including Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her debut film, In Fina We Trust.
