Antonia Lofaso's food offers a chance to discover what lies within her. She began to be interested in food when she moved from suburban Long Island to the diverse cultures in Los Angeles. All of her dishes are filled with her unique perspective for the future while also reminiscing about the old. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant that was founded by Lofaso in 2013. It was founded by the chef due to her Italian-American background. The restaurant's take on traditional Italian is hailed for being among the best places to enjoy Italian cuisine in Los Angeles. Lofaso has been praised by many as a local favorite who consistently delivers food that's authentic, delicious and warm. Lofaso was an apprentice chef to master chefs learning their methods and taking risks. She never hesitated in doing so, merely following her own intuition. She worked with a variety of famous people and quickly rose through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso, Sal Aurora, and Mario Guddemi partnered to open Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City in 2011. Through Black Market and the business alliances she created, Lofaso was able to find a home. Lofaso was able to finally experience the creativity she had always longed for. Black Market has no one plan in sight and it is that way. It would start by serving dill-flavored chips on potato Shishito peppers and finish with Korean Wings. Antonia is the linchpin of this dazzling assortment. In her long career Lofaso has measured her success by her innate ability to connect with her viewers and remain authentic to her personality. She has been a part of many television shows, such as Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup. Lofaso has teamed up in partnership with Penguin Publishing to publish The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for quick, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In this book, she also shares her experiences as a mother and a pupil in The French Culinary Institute. Lofaso says that the passion for her achievements comes from the heart of cooking and it's because of this that she continues to have a firm finger on the pulse. Through the Chefletics brand, she is changing the look of her industry by re-designing clothes for the kitchen that are stylish as well as practicality.
