Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American performer and actress. Her birthplace and childhood was in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), an RN and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her heritage includes Polish (mother) and German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered a passion to perform on the age of a child. She attended her audition in 1992 and was offered an appearance on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up at an agency prior to when she turned 13; she later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. In addition, Bell started taking classes in acting privately. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in both the music and drama club. The school's show of The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Following graduation, Bell moved to New York City to attend the highly regarded Tisch School of the Arts in which she learned about musical theatre. Bell left the university in 2001, and began taking on the character of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang however, the scene where she appeared was cut. In the end, only her credit sequence exists. The year 2002 saw her first major role. Bell made an appearance as a character in her first Broadway revival of The Crucible with Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
